The Museum of Fire, Penrith.
Being an Austin Healey Owner probably means you are also a History Buff! Why not come and join us on Wednesday 19th July to tour the fantastic Museum of Fire at Penrith, located at 1 Museum Drive, Penrith on the corner of Castlereagh Rd in the former Penrith Power Station. We have booked a tour at 12.30pm and if we have more than 15 participants, we get a discounted entry fee of $8.00 (bring your concession cards) and a special tour guide. The Museum features a wonderful collection of historic Fire Engines and Fire fighting memorabilia, and the tour takes about two hours…. So there’s PLENTY to see! The museum has received good reviews on tourism guides. The entrance to the Museum is 1km north of Panthers Entertainment Centre and within 50m north of the railway underpass bridge… and is easily identified by the magnificent 1942 Dennis Fire Engine mounted on a pole over 4m from the ground in the gardens. If you’d like a sneak peak at the attractions go to the website - www.museumoffire.com.au
We suggest local Sydney participants meet us at the Museum. Be there by 12.15pm latest.
For those wanting to head to Penrith on a scenic drive from Berowra Trucking Station with Pamela and Doug, meet at 8.45am at the old Berowra Trucking Station (to leave at 9am sharp). We will have a pitstop/eating time at Penrith Panthers on the way to the Museum.
As bookings are necessary for the tour – please contact Pamela and Doug Ross at either 0243320075 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place. (Margaret and Geoff are off doing their overseas thing in the US!)
