RMS Traffic Management Centre Sydney June 2016
After an eventful trip by being RB Tested in the BJ8 by a young enthusiastic constable who instantly identified the make of car and calling it a “weapon” and then saying he’ll have to get down on his knees to administer the breath test, Jenny and I arrived at Garden Street Eveleigh to be met by Alan & Jo Whitehouse in their BJ7, Ron Strange in his BT7, John & Judy Sherman, who came in their everyday car as did Ray and Muriel Roberts, Christine Lyttle by train, Greg and Dianne Strange in their 100, Terry and Pat Bancroft in their BJ8, making 5 Austin-Healeys in total.
We had a very informative morning learning about traffic management and other associated sides of traffic light synchronisation, media imput and Event management.
We met personalities Ian McRae and Alf Paranihi from 2GB who work in with the team at the Traffic Control Centre.
Thank you goes to Terry for organising such an enjoyable and informative morning.
