 2019 Mid-Week Drives calendar

Come along for a fun and friendly run on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (February to November). Additional details will be given each month at the Club meeting the week preceding the run, as well as being posted on the website & included in the newsletter.

Mid-Week Drive – Wednesday 20th February 2019
The destination for the first mid-week drive for 2019 will be the northern Sydney beachside suburb of Palm Beach. The lunch venue on the day will be The Boathouse, located in Governor Phillip Park at Palm Beach. We are meeting either at 10am at the café within Flower Power Nursery, 279 Mona Vale Road, Terrey Hills or at 12 noon at Palm Beach for lunch. In case you are unaware, the Flower Power Nursery used to be Bond’s Nursery, the past proprietor of which was our own Ross Bond, now the patron of our club.

After leaving Flower Power, it’s a 30 km journey along Mona Vale Road until we turn left onto McCarrs Creek Road. Then it’s along Pittwater Road and Barrenjoey Road (via Church Point) until we reach Palm Beach. Continue past the ferry terminal (on your left) until you reach Governor Phillip Park. Drive along the park until you come to The Boathouse which will be on your left. Lunch will be at 12 noon and we are unable to make a reservation, on arrival please organise your own seating.

If you would like to join with your fellow club members please let Margaret and Geoff Smith by phone on 0438 414 700 or by Friday 15th February 201

Please note:

  • To make sure that you don’t miss out on either lunch or tours, please contact the organisers in the week leading up to the run.
  • Due to extenuating circumstances, sometimes destinations may need to be altered. Any changes will be notified at the meeting, on the website and in the newsletter.
  • Cancellations may occasionally occur due to inclement weather.
  • The organisers are always keen to learn of new drives and venues. Please don’t hesitate to share your great ideas!
